Overview

The Karnali River Expedition is Nepal’s ultimate rafting adventure, organized by Karnali Rafting and Adventure Pvt. Ltd. It takes you deep into the wild, where Nepal’s longest and mightiest river cuts through untouched valleys, canyons, and lush jungles. Over 11 days, you’ll tackle world-class Class IV–V rapids like Scorpion Beach, Cotton Pani, and God House, paddle through remote gorges, camp on golden sandy beaches, and immerse yourself in the wilderness of western Nepal.

This expedition is more than just rafting – it’s a full-scale adventure combining adrenaline, exploration, and cultural immersion. Ending at Chisapani, the gateway to Bardiya National Park, it also offers the chance to extend your trip with wildlife safaris, where you might spot tigers, elephants, and rhinos.

  • Suitable for experienced rafters & adventurous beginners with good fitness.
  • Class IV–V rapids: participants should be confident swimmers.

  • If time allows, half-day sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley.
  • Overnight at tourist-standard hotel.
  • Early morning flight to Surkhet (1 hr).
  • Final shopping & preparation for multi-day expedition.
  • Drive to Tunibagar, Dailekh (rafting put-in point).
  • Overnight camping at Tunibagar.
  • First day rafting on the Karnali River.
  • Camp near Lohore Khola & Karnali confluence at Tallo Dungeshwor.
  • Rafting through big rapids and scenic river valleys.
  • Camp at Scorpion Beach.
  • Rafting adventure through continuous rapids.
