Flowing from Tibet into the far-western wilderness of Nepal, the Karnali is Nepal’s longest and mightiest river, famed for its spectacular rapids, untouched scenery, and rich biodiversity.

This 5-day adventure combines thrilling rapids with serene stretches, cultural encounters, and camping under starry skies. Perfect for adventure seekers, nature enthusiasts, and those who want to experience Nepal off the beaten path, the Karnali offers adrenaline, tranquility, and discovery all in one journey.

  • No prior rafting experience required, but good physical condition is recommended.

  • Pick up from Kathmandu.
  • Early morning flight to Surkhet (1 hour).
  • Drive approx. 3 hours to Tallo Dungeswer.
  • Lunch at Tallo Dungeswer.
  • Begin rafting from Tallo Dungeswer to Scorpion Beach near Sweet Nation Light.
  • Overnight camping by the riverside.
  • Rafting towards God House.
  • After reaching God House, set up camp and overnight stay.
  • Continue rafting from God House to Khimadi.
  • Overnight riverside camping near Khimadi.
  • Early morning departure from Khimadi.
  • Rafting towards Jamune.
  • Overnight camping at Jamune.
  • Rafting from Jamune to Chisapani (approx. 5 hrs 15 mins).
  • Lunch at Chisapani.
  • Drive to Nepalgunj Airport.
  • Flight back to Kathmandu.
  • Transfer to hotel in Thamel.
  • Farewell dinner and overnight stay in Thamel.
