The Karnali River Fishing Expedition is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure into Nepal’s wild western frontier. The trip begins in Kathmandu with a journey to Surkhet and onward to Rakam, the put-in point of the Karnali River. Over 7 days, you’ll fish prime stretches of the Karnali — casting your line into deep pools, calm sections, and untouched river bends surrounded by dense jungles, cliffs, and remote villages.
Evenings are spent camping by the riverside, enjoying freshly prepared meals, bonfires, and starlit skies. Guided by expert fishing professionals and supported by a full camp crew, this expedition offers a rare opportunity to immerse in pristine wilderness while chasing the "tiger of the river" — the Golden Mahseer.
