        Overview

The Seti Karnali Fishing Expedition is a unique 3-day angling adventure into Nepal’s remote Karnali wilderness. This journey takes you to the pristine confluence of the Seti and Karnali Rivers, home to the legendary Golden Mahseer and mighty Goonch Catfish.

Travel begins with a scenic flight to Dhanghadi, followed by a rugged 4WD drive to Khimadi, where the riverbanks await. The trip features expert-guided fishing, optional rafting sections, riverside camping, BBQ dinners, and wildlife spotting—all in one compact, adventure-filled expedition.

Ideal for both professional anglers and wilderness lovers, this trip offers a short yet intense immersion into one of the most untouched fishing regions in South Asia.

        Important Note

          • Catch & Release Policy: Golden Mahseer and Goonch Catfish are protected species. All fishing on this expedition follows a strict catch-and-release policy to help preserve the aquatic ecosystem.
          • River Conditions May Vary: Water levels and weather conditions can affect fishing spots, rafting access, and campsite locations. Itinerary flexibility is necessary based on real-time conditions.
          • Physical Fitness Required: A moderate level of physical fitness is recommended. Participants should be comfortable with outdoor activities like fishing, light rafting, and remote camping.
          • Remote Location: This trip takes place in a remote jungle area with limited medical access. A basic first-aid kit is provided, but travelers should carry their personal medications.
          • Rafting Optional: Rafting is offered to access deeper fishing pools, but it is optional and conducted only in safe, calm river sections under expert supervision.
          • Domestic Flight Delays: Flights to and from Dhanghadi and Nepalgunj may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather conditions. Please allow buffer time before and after the expedition.
          • Luggage Limit: Domestic flights permit a maximum of 15kg per person (10kg check-in + 5kg hand carry). Pack light and bring essential items only.
          • Limited Connectivity: Mobile and internet networks are very limited or unavailable in the expedition zone. This trip provides a complete break from digital distractions.
          • Private Departure Basis: The expedition operates only on a private departure basis. Advance booking is required to manage permits, guides, and flight arrangements.
          • Emergency Support: Our team carries communication devices and, where necessary, satellite phones for safety and emergency coordination.
