Basanti Bhat holds a Master’s Degree in English and is a licensed River Guide, National Tour Guide, and Trekking Guide. As a co-owner and General Manager of the company since its establishment, she has played a key role in managing operations and developing tourism services. With extensive experience in the tourism and social sectors, she has worked closely with local communities and international travelers.
She possesses strong knowledge of adventure tourism, particularly river-based tourism and angling expeditions. Basanti is highly experienced in the habitats, conservation, and catch-and-release practices of the Golden Mahseer and Goonch Catfish, two of Nepal’s most iconic freshwater fish species. She actively promotes responsible and sustainable fishing practices and works as a volunteer with local communities to support the conservation of Mahseer populations in Nepal’s Himalayan rivers. Her dedication to environmental stewardship, community engagement, and sustainable tourism helps create meaningful and responsible travel experiences for visitors to Nepal.
