The 2 Days Seti–Karnali Rafting Trip is the perfect short adventure for travelers who want to taste the thrill of Nepal’s whitewater rivers without committing to a long expedition. Starting from the picturesque town of Dipayal in far-western Nepal, this journey takes you down the sparkling Seti River, through lush jungle valleys, sandy beaches, and exciting rapids, before concluding at the spectacular Budhiganga–Karnali confluence.

This adventure combines Class III–IV rapids, wilderness camping at Scorpion Beach, and breathtaking scenery, making it a must-do for rafting enthusiasts and nature lovers. It is also a perfect add-on trip for those visiting Bardia National Park or exploring Nepal’s Far-West.

  • All participants must have travel insurance covering rafting & adventure sports.

  • Moderate fitness level is required; swimming ability is recommended but not mandatory.

Trip Itinerary

Meet your rafting team in Dipayal, the rafting put-in point on the Seti River.

After a safety briefing and paddling instructions, begin your adventure on the sparkling Seti waters.

Paddle through a series of Class III–IV rapids, jungle gorges, and rolling waves.

Stop for lunch along a sandy riverbank, with time to swim or relax.

Continue rafting until you reach Scorpion Beach, a beautiful sandy spot perfect for camping.

Evening campfire, freshly cooked dinner, and overnight stay under the stars.

After breakfast, get back on the rafts for another day of thrilling whitewater adventure. Raft through more challenging rapids, whirlpools, and big wave sections.

Enjoy breathtaking scenery with remote hills, jungles, and traditional villages along the banks.

Reach the Budhiganga confluence, the point where the Budhiganga River meets the Karnali, creating a powerful and scenic junction. Take-out at Budhiganga, with options to continue your journey to Chisapani, Bardia National Park, or Nepalgunj.
