Day 1 : Arrival & Kathmandu Half-Day Sightseeing

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative from Karnali Rafting and Adventure will warmly welcome you and assist with the transfer to your hotel. After settling in and having a short rest, the afternoon kicks off with a fascinating half-day sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. First, visit the iconic Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that features ancient temples, courtyards, and palaces that once served as the royal residence of Nepalese kings. You’ll stroll through vibrant squares surrounded by intricately carved wooden architecture and learn about Nepal’s rich history and royal past. Next, head to Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, perched on a hill overlooking the Kathmandu Valley. This stupa, one of the oldest and most revered in Nepal, offers sweeping panoramic views and a peaceful atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy some free time in Thamel, Kathmandu’s tourist hub filled with shops, cafes, and local markets. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu to Pokhara

Today begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, which takes approximately 6 to 7 hours by private vehicle. The journey itself is a memorable experience, offering glimpses of rural Nepal, terraced fields, rushing rivers, and occasional mountain vistas as you descend from the Kathmandu Valley toward the lakeside city. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you'll check into your hotel and have time to relax before beginning a light exploration of this charming lakeside town. In the late afternoon, take a leisurely walk along Lakeside Pokhara, the city's vibrant tourist district, and enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Fewa Lake, where the reflection of the Annapurna range in the still waters creates a serene and stunning setting. If time permits, visit Seto Gumba (White Monastery) for a sunset view over the lake and hills. Enjoy the cool mountain air and the relaxed atmosphere that Pokhara is famous for. Day 3 : Pokhara to Ulleri – Trek to Ghorepani

After breakfast, your adventure moves into the heart of the Himalayas. You'll begin the day with a drive from Pokhara to Ulleri, a small mountain village that serves as the starting point for your trek. From here, start your scenic hike towards Ghorepani, a charming Gurung village located at an altitude of 2,850 meters. The trail ascends gradually through lush rhododendron forests, cascading waterfalls, and terraced fields. Along the way, you’ll encounter local villagers and gain insight into their traditional lifestyles. The views become increasingly dramatic as you trek higher, offering glimpses of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Dhaulagiri. The pace is comfortable with regular breaks, and you'll have plenty of opportunities for photography and soaking in the surroundings. As you reach Ghorepani, nestled amidst misty pine forests, the cool air and rustic tea house accommodations offer a true Himalayan experience. Overnight stay at a cozy tea house in Ghorepani.

Day 4 : Poon Hill Hike & Return to Pokhara

Wake up before dawn for the highlight of your trek – a sunrise hike to Poon Hill (3,210m). The early morning effort is more than rewarded with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the Himalayas. Watch as the first light of day paints the peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Machhapuchhre in golden hues, creating an unforgettable vista. After soaking in the views, return to Ghorepani for breakfast before starting the descent back to Ulleri, where your vehicle will be waiting to drive you back to Pokhara. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. You may choose to stroll along the lakeside, grab a coffee, or indulge in a relaxing massage after the trek. It’s a perfect day to reflect on the mountain experience. Overnight stay at your hotel in Pokhara, where you can enjoy the comfort and laid-back atmosphere of the lakeside town.

Day 5 : Pokhara to Damauli – Seti River Rafting (Day 1)

After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Damauli, the starting point for an exciting two-day Seti River white water rafting adventure. Led by the expert river guides from Karnali Rafting and Adventure, you'll begin your journey down the gentle yet thrilling Seti River, known for its warm, turquoise waters and lush surrounding jungle. The river features Class II to III rapids, making it an ideal rafting experience for both beginners and families. Paddle through fun rapids and enjoy plenty of chances to swim in the crystal-clear water. The jungle landscape is rich in birdlife, and you may spot monkeys, kingfishers, or even otters along the banks. Midway through the day, enjoy a freshly prepared riverside picnic lunch. In the late afternoon, arrive at Saran Ghat, where your camp will be set up along the riverbank. Spend the evening by the campfire, share stories, and enjoy a peaceful night camping under the stars by the river.

Day 6 : Seti River Rafting (Day 2) – Return to Kathmandu

Wake up to the sound of nature and enjoy a hearty breakfast before embarking on the second day of rafting on the Seti River. Today’s stretch includes more exciting rapids and the opportunity to test your paddling skills as the river picks up speed. As the Seti merges with the Trishuli River, the landscape opens up, offering stunning views of forested hills and traditional Nepali villages. After a few hours of rafting, the trip concludes at Gai Ghat, where the rafting team will pack up the gear. From here, you'll board a private vehicle for the return drive to Kathmandu, a scenic journey of about 5 to 6 hours. Arrive in the capital by evening and check into your hotel. The night is yours to relax or take a short walk around Thamel, perhaps trying out some local cuisine. Overnight stay in Kathmandu with memories of rivers, rapids, and adventure still fresh in your mind.

Day 7 : Free Day – Full Kathmandu Valley Tour

Today is dedicated to exploring the cultural and historical richness of the Kathmandu Valley. Start your day with a drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, an ancient royal city known for its well-preserved architecture, traditional pottery, and intricate wood carvings. Stroll through its cobbled alleys, temples, and courtyards that showcase Newari artistry at its finest. Continue the tour to Dhulikhel, a scenic hill town located east of Kathmandu, famous for its panoramic views of the Himalayan range and peaceful environment. After lunch, head back to the valley and visit Patan Durbar Square, where ancient palaces and temples reflect the grandeur of the Malla era and Newari culture. Later in the afternoon, explore the Narayanhiti Royal Palace Museum, once home to Nepal’s royal family. End the day at Basantapur Durbar Square, the heart of old Kathmandu, bustling with local life and historic architecture. Return to your hotel for your final night in Nepal. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 8 : Shopping & Departure to Vietnam

On your final day in Nepal, enjoy a leisurely morning with time for last-minute shopping in Thamel. This is the perfect chance to pick up unique souvenirs, such as handcrafted jewelry, prayer flags, woolen garments, or traditional Nepali handicrafts. If time permits, you might also want to sip on some local tea or enjoy one last Nepali meal before departure. After checking out from your hotel, our team from Karnali Rafting and Adventure will provide a comfortable transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight to Vietnam.
