The Seti Karnali Rafting Expedition – 7 Days is designed for travelers who want the essence of Nepal’s far-western white-water adventure in just one week. Operated by Karnali Rafting & Adventure Pvt. Ltd., this itinerary focuses on the most scenic and action-packed sections of the Seti and Karnali rivers, skipping the gentler upstream stretches to maximize excitement per day.
You’ll spend 5 full days rafting through Class III–IV rapids, camping on untouched beaches, and exploring jungle-lined gorges. The route includes the iconic Seti–Karnali confluence, wildlife sightings, and a finale in the mighty Karnali River before concluding at Chisapani.
This trip is ideal for busy adventurers or those combining rafting with other Nepal activities, while still wanting a fully immersive wilderness river experience.
Trip Preparation
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Kathmandu → Dhangadhi (Flight) → Lode Khola (Jeep)
Morning flight to Dhangadhi, then private jeep to Lode Khola (~6 hrs). Evening safety briefing and gear check. Overnight riverside camp. (Meals: L, D)
Day 2 : Lode Khola → Scorpion Beach
First paddling day with continuous Class III rapids and scenic jungle corridors. Camp at one of the finest sandy beaches on the river. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 3 : Scorpion Beach → Benighat (Seti & Karnali Confluence)
Navigate exciting technical sections before reaching the dramatic confluence of the Seti and Karnali Rivers. Overnight camp near the junction. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 4 : Benighat → Tamcha
Paddle into the Karnali River section with big rolling waves and jungle wildlife sightings. Camp at Tamcha. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 5 : Tamcha → Chisapani
Final thrilling white-water stretches ending at Chisapani. Celebrate with a farewell BBQ dinner. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 6 : Chisapani → Nepalgunj (Jeep)
Scenic drive to Nepalgunj through Terai lowlands. Overnight hotel stay. (Meals: B, L)
Day 7 : Nepalgunj → Kathmandu (Flight)
