The Seti Karnali Rafting Expedition – 4 Days is the fastest itinerary possible for this wild-west river, created for travelers who have very limited time but still want to taste the adrenaline and beauty of Nepal’s remote rivers. Operated by Karnali Rafting & Adventure Pvt. Ltd., this trip cuts out the long upstream sections and starts directly in the action zone.
You’ll get three full days of rafting through the Seti–Karnali confluence and the mighty Karnali River, camping each night on beautiful sandy beaches and enjoying freshly cooked meals by the river. The days are packed with Class III–IV rapids, wildlife sightings, and stunning jungle-lined gorges.
This is ideal for adventure-seekers on a short holiday or those adding rafting as an intense add-on to their Nepal itinerary.
Trip Preparation
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Kathmandu → Dhangadhi (Flight) → Seti–Budhiganga Confluence (Jeep)
Morning flight to Dhangadhi (~1 hr 10 min). Private jeep to the rafting put-in point at the Seti– Budhiganga confluence. After a safety briefing, begin your first paddle session on the Karnali River. Camp on a sandy riverside beach. (Meals: L, D)
Day 2 : Seti–Karnali Confluence → Lode
Full day of rafting through big rolling Class III–IV waves with stunning jungle views. Possible wildlife sightings along the banks. Camp at Tamcha beach. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 3 : Lode → Tamchha
Final white-water stretch with a mix of thrilling rapids and calm floats for soaking in the scenery. Enjoy a farewell BBQ dinner at Chisapani. (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 4 : Tamchha → Solta→ To Nepalgunj (Jeep) → Kathmandu (Flight)
Drive to Nepalgunj, then take an afternoon flight to Kathmandu. Trip ends. (Meals: B)
