Overview
The Karnali River Fishing Expedition – 7 Days, operated by Karnali Rafting & Adventure Pvt. Ltd., is a time-compressed fishing adventure designed for anglers who want to experience the Karnali’s trophy waters in just one week.
Over two full fishing days on the river, you’ll target Golden Mahseer and Goonch Catfish in the most productive stretches, using rafting for access to deep pools, fast runs, and remote eddies far from human disturbance.
The trip is short but intense — rapid transfers, minimal downtime, and maximum time spent fishing. Evenings are spent camping riverside under the stars, enjoying freshly prepared meals, and sharing stories around the campfire.

Day 1 : Kathmandu → Surkhet (Flight) → Tallo Dungeswor (Drive)
- Pickup from Kathmandu airport or hotel.
- Morning flight Kathmandu → Surkhet (~1 hr).
- 4WD jeep transfer (~6–7 hrs) to Tallo Dungeswor (put-in point).
- Riverside camp setup and evening briefing.
Day 2 : Rafting & Fishing – Tallo Dungeswor Section
- Safety briefing & rafting practice.
- Start rafting through Class II–III rapids.
- Fishing in calm pools.
- Riverside camping.
Day 3 : Wilderness Section – Rapids & Fishing
- Morning fishing.
- Raft through Class III–IV rapids.
- Camp on remote riverside beach.
Day 4 : Major Rapids & Village Encounters
- Fish in prime pools.
- Navigate God’s House Rapid and other technical rapids.
