The Karnali River Fishing Expedition – 6 Days, organized by Karnali Rafting & Adventure Pvt. Ltd., is a fast-track version of our full expedition packages.
This trip focuses on two high-impact fishing sessions in the Karnali’s most accessible yet productive stretches. You’ll still target the prized Golden Mahseer and Goonch Catfish, enjoy a scenic rafting journey, and camp riverside — but in a condensed schedule that works for anglers with only a few days to spare.
With catch-and-release ethics, professional guides, and rafting support, you’ll get a true taste of Karnali fishing without the long time commitment.
Trip Preparation
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, welcome garland, and hotel check-in. Evening briefing and gear check. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2 : Kathmandu to Surkhet
Drive 12–14 hrs or fly 1 hr to Surkhet. Overnight in Surkhet hotel.
Day 3 : Surkhet to Rakam (Put-in Point)
Drive to Rakam, safety briefing, short warm-up raft, and riverside camp night.
Day 4 : Full Fishing Day
Target Golden Mahseer and Goonch in fast runs and deep pools. Raft to the next fishing location. Evening fishing from camp.
Day 5 : Final Fishing & Chisapani Exit
Morning fishing session, raft to Chisapani Bridge, and farewell dinner with crew. Overnight in Chisapani lodge.
Day 6 : Return to Kathmandu & Departure
Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and connect with your international flight.
