The Karnali River Fishing Expedition – 2 Days, run by Karnali Rafting & Adventure Pvt. Ltd., is a compact overnight fishing adventure for those already near the Karnali River.
You’ll enjoy two half-day fishing sessions targeting Golden Mahseer and Goonch Catfish in easy-to-reach yet productive river sections. Between casts, you’ll raft short scenic stretches, enjoy riverside camping, and share stories over a campfire.
It’s perfect for weekend fishing trips or as an add-on to a western Nepal visit.
Trip Preparation
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Surkhet to Rakam – Start Fishing
Meet in Surkhet, drive to Rakam Karnali. Safety briefing, short rafting section, and afternoon fishing session. Riverside camp dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 : Morning Fishing & Return to Surkhet
Early morning fishing for Mahseer & Goonch in prime pools. Mid-morning raft to take-out point at Chisapani. Drive back to Surkhet for trip conclusion.
