Overview

The Chitwan national park is situated in southwestern Nepal and covers 932 sq. km. This is Nepal’s first famous national park for wildlife safaris. You can see wild elephants; white-footed gaur (the world’s largest wild cattle), leopards, wild boar, sloth bear, and several species of deer including the spotted, barking, sambar, and hog deer.

It is the home of the one-horned rhinoceros and harbors one of the largest populations of the exclusive and rare Royal Bengal tigers. The swampy areas and numerous oxbow lakes are perfect for marsh crocodiles. The park hosts 450 species of birds. The Tharu people have unique cultural traditions. In Chitwan, there are many hotels inside and outside of the park. Usually, visitors spend 3 days and 2 nights, but staying longer is possible if you desire.

How to get to Chitwan National Park,
From close to Thamel, every day Tourist bus departs for Chitwan early morning at 7 am. We have to be at the bus station at 6:30 in the morning, it takes about 5 hours to drive to Chitwan National Park. From the Chitwan Bus station, our Hotel provides you with a pick-up service to get to the hotel.

Trip Preparation

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Drive to Chitwan national park by Tourist Bus for about 5 hours.

Arrived at the Hotel where you will be offered refreshments & be given a briefing on our services with jungle activities. After lunch, visit the Tharu Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and Lifestyle of the Tharus & Visit the Elephant Breeding Centre Panoramic Sunset view from our hotel, on the bank of the Rapti River.

Day 2 : Activities at Chitwan national park.

After breakfast Canoe ride on the Rapti River with bird watching & Jungle walk, An excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, and birds and have wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced naturalists and wildlife tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful & Bird watching is an excellent opportunity to see a great many species of birds found in Chitwan National Park. After lunch Jeep drive: – This program is optional & seasonal.

(Starting from the 15thMangshir to till the date 15th Jestha- every year) One of the active and exciting activities for jungle safari. Jeep drive goes through the grasslands forests and Sal forests to Kasara (the National Park’s headquarters) Gharial Hatchery Farm where you will learn about how crocodiles are brought up at this farm.

Day 3 : Activities at Chitwan national park.

After breakfast Bird watching in our hotel's compounds is free in the morning and after lunch Elephant Ride (For an Hour) An excellent opportunity to get a lifetime experience on the Elephant Back and to see the Wildlife of The Park.

Day 4 : Drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Wake-up call, Sunrise view, and breakfast then after breakfast, the hotel will make transport arrangements to get bus station and drive back to Kathmandu or Pokhara.
