Day 1 : Arrival in Surkhet – Drive to Rimna Ghat

Your adventure begins with a scenic one-hour flight from Kathmandu to Surkhet, offering sweeping aerial views of the Himalayan foothills. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a six-hour drive through rolling hills and river valleys to Rimna Ghat, where the Sani Bheri and Thuli Bheri rivers meet. Here, you’ll meet your rafting crew, enjoy an orientation, check your gear, and settle into a local guesthouse or riverside tented camp for the night.

Day 2 : Rimna Ghat to Matela Suspension Bridge

After a hearty breakfast and a detailed safety briefing, you’ll launch your raft into the clear, fast-flowing waters of the Bheri River. This first section delivers lively Class III rapids, dramatic gorges, and playful wave trains. The day ends with a riverside camp near Matela Suspension Bridge, where you’ll enjoy a campfire dinner under a starlit sky.

Day 3 : Matela Suspension Bridge to ChaurJahari

Today’s paddle takes you past traditional Magar and Khas villages, where the rhythms of rural life unfold along the riverbanks. You’ll navigate Class II+ wave trains, enjoy birdwatching, and admire the ever-changing scenery before setting up camp near ChaurJahari, a peaceful riverside location.

Day 4 : ChaurJahari to Devasthal

This day offers a blend of technical rapids and serene stretches. Between paddling sessions, you can cool off with a swim in crystal-clear pools or take short walks along the jungle-clad banks. The day concludes at Devasthal, a lush riverside campsite surrounded by forested hills.

Day 5 : Devasthal to Pabitra Bazar (Mehalkuna)

A more dynamic day awaits as you tackle Class III+ whitewater, weaving through boulder gardens and riding swift wave trains. Along the way, you’ll pass remote settlements and farmland. The evening camp at Pabitra Bazar offers the chance for a short hike to take in panoramic valley views.

Day 6 : Pabitra Bazar to Bheri Bridge

The river narrows into thrilling rapids, producing some of the most powerful waves of the journey. Steep cliff faces and echoing canyon walls create a dramatic backdrop. You’ll camp just below Bheri Bridge, where the river widens and slows, providing a perfect contrast to the day’s excitement.

Day 7 : Bheri Bridge to Ranighat

The scenery shifts as the river broadens, offering calmer waters punctuated by occasional Class IV rapids. The slower pace allows for cultural stops at isolated riverside communities. Camp is set at Ranighat, a jungle-lined riverbank rich with birdlife and natural beauty.

Day 8 : Ranighat to Chepang

This final major rafting day is a celebratory one, with playful Class II+ rapids carrying you toward the confluence of the Bheri and Karnali rivers, a spiritually significant site in western Nepal. Here, you’ll set up your last riverside camp, share stories with your team, and enjoy a festive farewell campfire.

Day 9 : Chepang to Jamu

A relaxed day begins with a short morning raft to the Jamu fishing resort. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy—whether it’s jungle walks, fishing, swimming, or simply unwinding amid pristine surroundings.

Day 10 : Jamu to Chisapani – Bardiya/Nepalgunj – Kathmandu

Your expedition concludes with a short paddle to Chisapani, the final take-out point. After lunch, you’ll drive to either Bardiya National Park (1 hour) or Nepalgunj Airport (2.5 hours) for your flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Bheri River journey.
