Day 1 : Arrival in Surkhet – Drive to Rimna Ghat

Fly from Kathmandu to Surkhet (1 hour) with stunning Himalayan views. From Surkhet, enjoy a scenic six-hour drive through rolling hills and river valleys to Rimna Ghat, where the Sani Bheri and Thuli Bheri rivers meet. Meet your expert fishing crew, check your equipment, and settle into a local guesthouse or tented riverside camp for your first night.

Day 2 : Rimna Ghat to Matela Suspension Bridge

After breakfast and safety orientation, begin your fishing journey on the crystal-clear Bheri River. Cast for Golden Mahseer and freshwater catfish in lively currents. Spend the day alternating between fishing, riverside walks, and relaxing in nature. Camp overnight near Matela Suspension Bridge, enjoying a campfire dinner under the stars.

Day 3 : Matela Suspension Bridge to ChaurJahari

Pass traditional Magar and Khas villages while fishing along calmer pools and playful currents. This stretch is excellent for fly fishing and angling. Birdwatching and photography opportunities add charm to the day. Camp overnight near ChaurJahari, a quiet riverside village.

Day 4 : ChaurJahari to Devasthal

Enjoy diverse fishing opportunities in deep pools and along rocky stretches. Between sessions, swim in the river or explore short jungle trails. Devasthal’s lush setting, surrounded by forested hills, makes for a perfect riverside camping spot.

Day 5 : Devasthal to Pabitra Bazar (Mehalkuna)

Fish your way through boulder gardens and river bends, known hotspots for Golden Mahseer. Stop at remote settlements along the banks for cultural interaction. Set camp at Pabitra Bazar, with the option of a short hike to admire valley panoramas.

Day 6 : Pabitra Bazar to Bheri Bridge

The river narrows, offering thrilling fishing spots near cliffs and canyons. This is one of the prime stretches for larger game fish. Evening camp below Bheri Bridge, where you’ll relax by the riverside and share stories of the day’s catch.

Day 7 : Bheri Bridge to Ranighat

The river widens, creating calmer pools perfect for a relaxed fishing pace. Visit small riverside communities, enjoy cultural encounters, and set camp at Ranighat, a jungle-lined riverbank teeming with birdlife.

Day 8 : Ranighat to Chepang

Celebrate your final major fishing day as you reach the confluence of the Bheri and Karnali rivers – a sacred and scenic location in western Nepal. Known for big Mahseer, this spot makes for an unforgettable finale. Enjoy a festive farewell campfire at your last riverside camp.

Day 9 : Chepang to Chisapani – Bardiya/Nepalgunj – Kathmandu

Conclude your adventure with a relaxed morning fishing session, then float down to Chisapani, the final take-out point. After lunch, drive either to Bardiya National Park (1 hr) for an optional jungle safari or to Nepalgunj Airport (2.5 hrs) for your flight back to Kathmandu.
