Trip Preparation

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Kathmandu → Nepalgunj → Mehalkuna

Morning 1-hour flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.
Private jeep drive (5–6 hrs) to Mehalkuna, the fishing and rafting put-in point.
Meet your river crew, trip orientation, and short evening fishing session.
Overnight: Riverside Camp, Mehalkuna.

Day 2 : Mehalkuna → Ranighat

Morning fishing at Mehalkuna pools.
Begin rafting and fishing downstream towards Ranighat.
Stop at prime fishing spots along the way.
Evening fishing at Ranighat confluence and riverside campfire dinner.
Overnight: Riverside Camp, Ranighat.

Day 3 : Ranighat → Taranga

Early fishing at Ranighat.
Continue rafting and fishing along scenic stretches of the Bheri River.
Target species: Golden Mahseer, Goonch Catfish.
Arrive at Taranga and set up camp on sandy riverbanks.
Overnight: Riverside Camp, Taranga.

Day 4 : Taranga → Jamu

Drift and raft downstream with fishing stops.
Explore deep pools and confluences near Jamu.
BBQ dinner and relaxed evening by the river.
Overnight: Riverside Camp, Jamu.

Day 5 : Jamu → Bheri–Karnali Confluence

Raft and fish through gorge sections.
Reach the Bheri–Karnali confluence, one of the best fishing hotspots.
Evening fishing session and farewell riverside celebration.
Overnight: Riverside Camp at Confluence.

Day 6 : Confluence → Chisapani → Nepalgunj → Kathmandu

Early morning fishing at the confluence.
After breakfast, raft about 4 hours downstream to Chisapani.
Enjoy lunch at Chisapani take-out point.
Drive about 4 hrs to Nepalgunj Airport.
Evening flight (1 hr) back to Kathmandu.
End of trip – transfer to hotel or onward departure.
