Starting from Kathmandu, the journey takes you to the remote put-in point at Mehalkuna (Surkhet), from where the fishing and rafting adventure begins. Over five days, you’ll drift through scenic river valleys, deep gorges, and lush forests, camping by the riverside each night under the stars.
Our experienced fishing and rafting guides will lead you through the top fishing pools and safe rafting sections. With professional equipment, riverside meals, and comfortable camping, this trip guarantees an immersive wilderness experience. The highlight comes at the Bheri–Karnali Confluence, renowned as a hotspot for giant Mahseer and Goonch catches.

Day 1 : Kathmandu → Nepalgunj → Mehalkuna
- Morning flight (1 hr) Kathmandu → Nepalgunj.
- Jeep transfer (~5–6 hrs) to Mehalkuna.
- Meet the crew, orientation, and short evening fishing at nearby pools.
- Overnight: Riverside Camp, Mehalkuna
Day 2 : Mehalkuna → Ranighat
- Morning fishing at Mehalkuna pools.
- Rafting and fishing downstream towards Ranighat with multiple stops.
- Lunch on riverbank.
- Evening fishing session at Ranighat confluence.
- Overnight: Riverside Camp, Ranighat
Day 3 : Ranighat → Chepang
- Early morning fishing at Ranighat.
- Raft downstream towards Chepang, stopping at prime fishing pools along the way.
- Enjoy lunch on riverbank.
- Evening fishing session at Chepang and riverside campfire.
- Overnight: Riverside Camp, Chepang
Day 4 : Chepang → Bheri–Karnali Confluence
- Morning fishing session at Chepang.
- Raft downstream through calm pools and moderate rapids.
- Reach Bheri–Karnali Confluence, set up riverside camp.
- Evening fishing at confluence – great chance for large Mahseer and Goonch.
- Overnight: Riverside Camp at Confluence
Day 5 : Confluence → Chisapani → Nepalgunj → Kathmandu
- Early morning fishing at Bheri–Karnali Confluence.
- After breakfast, 4 hrs rafting to Chisapani take-out.
- Lunch at Chisapani, then drive (~4 hrs) to Nepalgunj Airport.
- Evening flight back to Kathmandu (1 hr).
- Trip ends – transfer to hotel or onward departure.
