Trip Preparation
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Kathmandu → Nepalgunj → Samajhi Ghat
- Morning flight (1 hr) from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.
- Jeep transfer (~4–5 hrs) to Samajhi Ghat, the fishing and rafting put-in point.
- Meet river crew, orientation, and short evening fishing at nearby pools.
- Overnight: Riverside Camp, Samajhi Ghat
Day 2 : Samajhi Ghat → Pamka
- Morning fishing session at Samajhi Ghat pools.
- Begin rafting and fishing downstream towards Pamka.
- Stop at calm pools and rapids for casting or wade fishing targeting Mahseer and Goonch.
- Lunch on riverbank.
- Evening fishing session at Pamka confluence.
- Riverside campfire and BBQ dinner.
- Overnight: Riverside Camp, Pamka
Day 3 : Pamka → Jamu
- Early morning fishing at Pamka.
- Raft downstream towards Jamu, passing calm stretches and moderate rapids.
- Stop at prime fishing pools along the way.
- Lunch on riverbank during the drift.
- Arrive at Jamu confluence, set up riverside camp.
- Evening fishing session at Jamu – high chance for large Mahseer.
- Riverside BBQ/farewell dinner.
- Overnight: Riverside Camp, Jamu
Day 4 : Jamu → Chisapani → Nepalgunj → Kathmandu
- Early morning fishing session at Jamu pools.
- After breakfast, 4 hrs rafting downstream to Chisapani take-out point.
- Riverside lunch at Chisapani.
- Drive (~4 hrs) to Nepalgunj Airport.
- Evening flight (1 hr) back to Kathmandu.
- Trip ends – transfer to hotel or onward departure.
