Trip Preparation
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, where our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, meet your expedition leader for a trip briefing, equipment check, and preparation for the fishing adventure ahead.
Day 2 : Kathmandu – Nepalgunj – Babai Chepang
Take a morning flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, followed by a scenic drive to Babai Chepang near the Ratna Highway side. Upon arrival, meet the river crew, organize fishing gear, finalize permits, and set up the riverside camp. Enjoy your first afternoon fishing session on the Babai River.
Day 3 : Upper Babai Fishing
Spend a full day fishing in the upper reaches of the Babai River, exploring clear pools, fast runs, and promising holding areas for Himalayan Golden Mahseer.
Day 4 : Upper-Middle Babai Fishing
Continue fishing through productive upper-middle river sections, targeting Himalayan Golden Mahseer in deep pools, current seams, and rocky stretches.
Day 5 : Raft-Assisted Drift Fishing
Begin an exciting raft-supported drift fishing experience, allowing access to remote and less-fished parts of the Babai River. Fish along untouched riverbanks, scenic bends, and wilderness sections.
Day 6 : Middle Babai Fishing
Enjoy a full day fishing through the middle reaches of the Babai River, combining casting from the riverbank and raft-assisted movement through promising fishing zones.

Day 10 : Bardia National Park Safari – Nepalgunj – Kathmandu / Departure
Start early with a thrilling Bardia National Park jungle safari, with chances to spot wildlife such as tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, wild elephant, crocodile, deer, and diverse birdlife. After breakfast, drive back to Nepalgunj and fly to Kathmandu for your international departure or onward journey.
