Trip Preparation
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Nepalgunj – Drive to Babai River – Start Fishing
Arrive at Nepalgunj Airport (or overland arrival) and meet Karnali Rafting team.
Drive 2–3 hours to Babai River starting point (Chepang/Babai Bridge).
After lunch, start fishing immediately on the riverbanks.
Set up riverside camp, enjoy evening fishing targeting Golden Mahseer and Goonch.
Overnight in tented camp.
Day 2 : Full Days of Fishing and Rafting Along Babai River
Early morning fishing sessions at prime locations.
Rafting to access remote pools and secret fishing spots.
Daily riverside picnic lunches prepared by our kitchen crew.
Explore deep jungle and river valleys, possibly spotting wildlife like barking deer, wild boar, or even a tiger!
Evening campfires, storytelling, and more fishing in the evening light.
Overnight in tented camps along the river.
Day 4 : Final Fishing – Exit River – Tharu Village Visit
Last chance for morning fishing after breakfast.
Raft out of Babai River, reaching the put-out point (Babai Bridge).
Drive to Thakurdwara and visit a Tharu Village — learn about the unique culture, traditions, and enjoy delicious local cuisine.
Overnight at jungle lodge in Thakurdwara.
Day 5 : Departure from Nepalgunj
Morning transfer to Nepalgunj Airport for your flight to Kathmandu or continuation of your journey.
End of the unforgettable fishing expedition!
