Overview
The Babai River Fishing Expedition is one of Nepal’s most exclusive sport fishing adventures, designed for anglers and explorers who seek both adrenaline and wilderness. Organized by Karnali Rafting & Adventure Pvt. Ltd., this 11-day expedition takes you deep into the Bardia National Park buffer zone—home to golden mahseer, goonch catfish, and Indian trout.
The journey begins in Kathmandu with a cultural welcome and a scenic flight to Nepalgunj, followed by a private jeep transfer into the pristine Babai Valley. Over the next several days, you’ll cast lines into remote river stretches, rapids, and deep confluence pools, where some of the world’s most powerful freshwater fish await.
Along with fishing, this trip offers the chance to experience Nepal’s jungle ecosystem. Bardia is famous for its Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinos, elephants, and over 400 bird species. With professional fishing and rafting guides, riverside camping, campfire BBQs, and cultural evenings, this is more than a fishing trip—it’s a lifetime wilderness experience.

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu
- Pick-up at Kathmandu International Airport.

Day 2 : Kathmandu → Nepalgunj (Flight) → Babai Valley (Drive)

Day 3 : Babai River Fishing (Upper Section)
